TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS
GSHS has partnered with parchment.com to help students send transcripts to colleges, employers, recruiters, and more. Here’s what you need to know:

Create an account at parchment.com.
Important: Do NOT use your Gulf Shores City Schools email address since it will deactivate after graduation. -
You do NOT need to enter a student ID to create your account.

Once your account is set up, you can send transcripts electronically to colleges of your choice for a fee of $3 per transcript.

Uploading your transcript to the Common App is free of charge.
For Local Scholarships:
Many local scholarships still require paper transcripts. When those become available:

Visit your counselor to sign up on the transcript request sheet.

Your counselor will provide you with an official transcript in a sealed envelope ready to be submitted.
All other transcript requests should be handled through Parchment
​LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
If you need a letter of recommendation from a counselor and/or teacher, please follow these steps:

Both you and your parent/guardian must complete and submit the following typed documents:

Senior Brag Sheet

Parent Questionnaire

Your name will only be added to the recommendation list after these forms are submitted.

Allow at least THREE WEEKS NOTICE before your application or scholarship deadlines to ensure your letter is completed on time.

Handwritten forms will NOT be accepted.
