TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

GSHS has partnered with parchment.com to help students send transcripts to colleges, employers, recruiters, and more. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Create an account at parchment.com.
    Important: Do NOT use your Gulf Shores City Schools email address since it will deactivate after graduation.

  • You do NOT need to enter a student ID to create your account.

  • Once your account is set up, you can send transcripts electronically to colleges of your choice for a fee of $3 per transcript.

  • Uploading your transcript to the Common App is free of charge.

For Local Scholarships:
Many local scholarships still require paper transcripts. When those become available:

  • Visit your counselor to sign up on the transcript request sheet.

  • Your counselor will provide you with an official transcript in a sealed envelope ready to be submitted.

All other transcript requests should be handled through  Parchment

​LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

If you need a letter of recommendation from a counselor and/or teacher, please follow these steps:

  • Both you and your parent/guardian must complete and submit the following typed documents:

    • Senior Brag Sheet

    • Parent Questionnaire

  • Your name will only be added to the recommendation list after these forms are submitted.

  • Allow at least THREE WEEKS NOTICE before your application or scholarship deadlines to ensure your letter is completed on time.

  • Handwritten forms will NOT be accepted.
