Navy JROTC: Building Leaders of Character and Commitment
The Navy Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NJROTC) is a citizenship development program dedicated to teaching students how to become confident, capable leaders. At the heart of NJROTC are the three core values that guide every cadet:
-
Honor
-
Courage
-
Commitment
These values, combined with the program’s 14 Leadership Traits—Justice, Judgment, Dependability, Initiative, Decisiveness, Tact, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Bearing, Unselfishness, Courage, Knowledge, Loyalty, and Endurance—help cadets develop the skills and mindset necessary for effective leadership.
Through NJROTC, students learn to apply these principles in their behavior and decision-making, shaping them into responsible leaders both in school and in their communities.
Spotlight On Innovation
