The University of Alabama will not require standardized ACT or SAT scores from students applying through the Fall 2025 Semester. The presence of a score will not create an unfair advantage or disadvantage to students applying for admission. If you are unsure whether or not to submit a standardized test score, contact your high school counselor or Christy Hudgens, UA Recruiter. To maximize scholarship opportunities, students who wish to enroll in the fall semester should submit an application and all supporting documents by the priority deadline on January 10, 2025. All Students must complete the minimum unit requirements.

Minimum requirements for admission are 20 ACT/1030 SAT and 2.75 GPA. UAB accepts your highest composite score on the ACT or SAT and does not "superscore." UAB is test-optional for admission and scholarship consideration for Fall 2025. UAB’s application for the Fall 2025 semester should open on August 1, 2024. Students applying for Fall 2025 admission will be automatically considered for UAB merit-based scholarships if they apply by December 1. Students can apply for additional institutional scholarships by completing the general application in BSMART starting on 8/1/2023. The deadline for the BSMART application is March 1 (NOTE: some scholarships have a February 1 deadline). If applying with test scores, scores from the December ACT/SAT sittings during your senior year will be the last scores considered for scholarship purposes. Students must have a Composite Predictive Index (CPI) score of 18 or higher. The CPI score is a combination of the high school grade point average (GPA) and ACT/SAT scores. The GPA, however, cannot be lower than a 2.0. If you do not initially meet admission requirements to be fully accepted, one must have a minimum CPI score of 16 for conditional acceptance.

Admission application opens on August 1st. The middle 50% range for GPA for admitted students to the 2024 freshman class was a 3.81-4.29 and the middle 50% range for the ACT was 23-30. Writing portion of ACT is not required. We are test preferred and we do accept a superscore report for admissions and scholarship consideration. All students who apply during one of our early action rounds (by December 1st) will be considered for academic merit scholarships and hear a decision in time to apply for general and departmental scholarships through AUSOM. Algebra II is not required for admission but recommended. Foreign Language not required. Competitive scholarship application opens September 1 and closes February 1, Honors Scholarship (30+ ACT) application deadline is Feb. 1. Students must also submit their unofficial or official transcript to receive an acceptance letter from Miles College. We are no longer waiving the SAT/ACT requirements for scholarship awards. Application components include: application, $40 application fee, one academic letter of recommendation, official ACT/SAT score*, official high school transcript, and personal essay. The middle 50% range for the ACT is 23-29, SAT is 1130-1350, and GPA is 3.48-4.0. Successful admission candidates are expected to have four units of English, algebra I and II, geometry, two laboratory sciences, two units of history (not including state history), and two units of a foreign language. The application committee values test scores and GPA, but takes a holistic view in considering a student for admission and scholarships. There is a separate scholarship application for the Davis Scholarship and a few other specific scholarship opportunities and programs. Revisions to the application and updated test scores will be accepted through the December 1st deadline for merit-based first round scholarship consideration.

SHC offers a traditional application process as well as a test-optional application process, both options are free. For traditional applications, students must submit official transcripts and either an official ACT or SAT score. Spring Hill will superscore the ACT/SAT. Average of last year's incoming class was between a 22-27 on the ACT with a 3.4 GPA. Our minimum requirement for admission is an 18 ACT and a 2.5 GPA. Students applying for the test optional application must submit a personal essay, letter of recommendation and a resume. Students will be asked to submit test scores before the beginning of the semester for class placement only.

Unconditional Admission (test optional) 3.0 GPA Conditional Admissions (test optional) 2.5 GPA. Unconditional admission with a 20+ ACT (950 SAT) and a 2.0+ cumulative GPA. Conditional admission with a 17-19 ACT (830 SAT) and 2.5+ GPA, Foreign Language is not required for admission. Minimums to qualify for scholarships are 20 ACT/3.0 GPA. Scholarships are competitive and ONLY ‘admitted’ students can apply. They must meet the requirements specified for each scholarship to be eligible. *TROY does offer a residual ACT on campus (Students need to contact the recruiter to gain more specifics on how to register for the residual test) Scholarship application deadline is December 1st. Housing opens October 1st and Closes March 1st Foundation Scholarships open January 1st and close March 1st. Merit Based Scholarships open Sept. 1 and close Dec. 1.

Minimum scholarship requirements are 18 ACT and 2.75 GPA, and they consider ACT scores up until freshman year begins. However, students can also choose to be Test Optional and receive acceptance based on 2.75 GPA only. Students with a 27 or higher on the ACT will be invited to interview for a full-ride scholarship opportunity. $2,000 visit day scholarships are available to each student who attends a visit day. Conditional admission with: GPA of 2.00 on overall unweighted and at least 11 core units (4 English, 2 Math, 2 Natural or Physical Science, 3 Social Studies). Algebra II is not required. Foreign Language is not required. Minimums to qualify for ACADEMIC scholarships are 20 ACT and 3.0 GPA. Minimums for OPPORTUNITY scholarships (test optional) is a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship deadline is March 1, 2025 after which awards are based on fund availability.

19 ACT and 2.5 GPA. Students need to apply for admissions on our website. We are on a rolling admissions process. Transcript can be sent from the counselor to my email in order to be considered official. The ACT scores need to come directly from ACT, but we will accept ACTs on High School transcripts for admissions decisions (we just need to have the official ones by the end of the year). Scholarships: They start at a 21 ACT and 3.0 GPA. You need a 32 ACT and 3.5 GPA for Full tuition scholarship. Priority deadline is December 1st, but we will keep awarding scholarships until funds are exhausted. We also have a test optional route for students, but test optional students will be informed of their admissions decision in October or November. They are eligible for scholarships, but those amounts have not been approved yet.
