Scholars' Bowl

Club Description:
Scholars’ Bowl is a fast-paced, Jeopardy-style academic competition where two teams of four players compete using a lockout buzzer system to answer questions from a broad range of subjects, including history, science, literature, and current events. At Gulf Shores High School, both Varsity and JV teams participate in regional tournaments against schools across Mobile and Baldwin counties. Team members prepare by studying additional materials and attending weekly practices to sharpen their skills. The team competes following the NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournaments) standards, and membership requires a $25 fee, which covers a team t-shirt. Participants are expected to commit to regular practices and fundraising efforts to support the team’s success.
